Chakay Smith is the Founder and Owner of The Bar Aesthetics – Micropigmentation. She is a Licensed Cosmetologist, Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) Specialist, Brow Professional, and Expert Lash Artist whose work is rooted in precision, artistry, and delivering refined, natural-looking results.

Born and raised in Richmond, California, Chakay returned to the beauty industry in 2013 after a successful career as a police officer and business owner. She began her beauty career as a Lash Artist, expanded into Permanent Makeup in 2016 with a focus on luxury brows, and entered the SMP industry in 2018, becoming the first African American female SMP artist in the Bay Area.

Chakay is deeply passionate about restoring confidence through non-surgical hair loss solutions and advanced aesthetic services. Known for her attention to detail and client-centered approach, she remains committed to ongoing education and staying at the forefront of industry advancements.
​
In 2018, she founded The Bar Aesthetics as a modern, elevated beauty space built on excellence, integrity, and education. Today, Chakay is also an international speaker and SMP educator, dedicated to training aspiring artists and equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed for long-term success.

Micaela Mouton, also known as “Mica,” is a Licensed Aesthetician, Permanent Makeup Artist, and Lash Artist who is passionate about helping clients look and feel their very best.

In 2014, she founded Mea Beauty. The name “Mea,” the Latin word for “my” or “belonging to me,” reflects Mica’s vision of creating a welcoming and relaxing beauty space where clients can enjoy meaningful self-care and much-needed “me time.”
​
Mica began her journey in the beauty industry in 2007 while earning her Fine Arts degree in Painting and Drawing. She initially worked as a professional Makeup Artist, combining her artistic training with beauty techniques to deliver refined and personalized results.
​
Today, Mica brings together her background in fine art and beauty to provide services including Bridal Makeup, Eyelash Extensions, and Permanent Makeup. She also shares her knowledge and creativity through her beauty YouTube channel, which has grown to over 20,000 subscribers.

Sydney Robinson, also known to many clients as “Freckles,” is a Licensed Aesthetician and Lash Artist with a passion for helping clients feel confident and beautiful.

She has been specializing in eyelash extensions for the past three years, focusing on creating customized lash looks that enhance each client’s natural features.

Sydney’s journey in the beauty industry is deeply personal. After the loss of her mother two years ago, she felt inspired to pursue her dreams with greater determination and purpose. This experience continues to motivate her to grow, refine her craft, and provide exceptional service to every client she works with.
